The update affects the Baked Enamel, Stainless Steel and Bradmar Partitions.
Based on client feedback,
we adjusted the Reference Plane Properties within the Revit toilet partition models for improved floor plan, face-to-face clearance dimensioning between the partition panels,
this also improved the connection of our face-based components, like grab bars and toilet stall accessories to the panels.
We believe you will find this update helpful. Please consider downloading and updating your Bradley Revit Toilet Partition Revit families to begin using this updated functionality.
Autodesk Seek should have the updated versions posted in a day or two.
Bradley Revit family components can be used individually or separately to achieve the correct architectural requirements. The files can be manipulated for:
Stall Count
Stall Dimensions
Door Swing Options
Multiple Stall Configurations: Standard Stalls, ADA and Ambulatory
Based on clients’ design criteria, we were asked to create a more sophisticated Revit toilet partition family model.
The majority of Bradley’s Revit families have file sizes that range from 260-720K. While the toilet partition families have a larger file size; we insured they would not minimize the Revit project performance.
The most regular client compliment we receive, has been the constructability and installation detail of the partition families.
“Thank you from our design team…Bradley toilet partition families include adjustable wall mounting brackets that simulate the “real installation” space requirements for panels, hardware and wall clearance….great design foresight”.
Experience shows; that when Revit family 3D components are visible in 2D orthographic views (plan, elevation); it can reduce a Revit project’s performance.
Therefore, Bradley has made a deliberate effort to turn OFF all of the 3D solid components in our Revit Families’ PLAN and ELEVATION views.

For example, Bradley’s Revit Toilet Partition families‘ partition doors, side panels, pilasters & overhead rail SOLID components are Turned OFF in Plan & Elevation views.
After Turning OFF the solid components, we add masking regions/symbolic lines to represent the Bradley Revit Toilet Partition families’ partition doors, side panels, pilasters & overhead rails.
Consider opening a Revit door family as a great example of this process. The door panel only displays in 3D views. A masking region displays the door in elevation view and symbolic lines are used to show the door swing.

Why a Toilet Partition Section View May Display Incorrectly
Unfortunately, in section views; Revit “sees” that 2D masking region which has one visibility setting for both the front & back views.
So, regardless of the direction of the section head (facing back wall or facing front doors), you will see the 2D masking regions for the doors/pilasters at the front of the stall.
Ideally, it would be great if Revit gave us these 4 separate visibility settings ; (1) FRONT, (2) BACK, (3) LEFT and (4) RIGHT visibility for each solid.
Currently, Revit only provides us with 2 combined visibility settings; (1) Front/Back and (2) Left/Right.

Alternate Visibility Solution
The solution is to turn OFF our Masking Regions and turn ON the visibility of the solids in the partition family.
Currently, this requires a manual edit by your BIM Manager to switch the visibility settings from displaying Masking Regions to displaying the Revit Solid Components.
We’re reviewing future parameter “visibility switches” for controlling the display of masking regions & solids in the family properties
In addition, I’ve scripted a short online video on how to manually alter these settings. I’ll post the final video here as time permits.
When a Revit toilet partition family is downloaded from the Bradley site; you receive the the Revit family AND a simple PDF Instruction Guide when the file is unzipped:
Visitors many times, didn’t see the Instruction Guide in the unzipped folder and would contact us with questions.
Or, sometimes as the toilet partition family was emailed or moved from the unzipped folder, the Instruction Guide did not stay with the family.
To minimize technical support calls; we incorporated this technical support message as 3D Revit Model Text into the Bradley Revit Toilet Partitions families:
PLEASE READ THE PARTITION INSTRUCTION FILE BEFORE USING!
THE VISIBILITY FOR THIS NOTE CAN BE TURNED OFF IN THE VISIBILITY GRAPHICS OVERRIDE OPTIONS(VG) UNDER SPECIALTY EQUIPMENT–>INSTRUCTIONS
OR –UNCHECK THE Instructions On-Off Visibility BUTTON IN THE FAMILY TYPE DIALOGUE BOX
Typically, most BIM or VDC Managers will test and prep a new Revit family; prior to releasing the family into their projects and standard BIM library.
We found most BIM/VDC Managers simply open the Bradley toilet partition family and delete the 3D text. The 3D Text, serves as a reminder of the Instruction Guide; which they can include in their email attachments with the Bradley Revit Family.
Over the last 18 months, the 3D Model Text instructions have greatly minimized our toilet partition support calls. Our Bradley Revit toilet partition downloads have dramatically increased to serve our clients’ projects.
We continue our Bradley Revit toilet partition model development; based on incoming clients’ requests, ideas and comments. Please consider using the Contact Us Page to share your ideas. We appreciate your feedback and add our clients’ ideas to our wishlist of options for future versions of Bradley Revit Family models.
Thank you for your consideration of Bradley BIM Models & Products for your projects.
